Industrial production and waste streams

Based on the US Resource Recovery and Conservations Act (RCRA) EMIS includes a (open for local extensions) data base of 154 basic industrial waste streams that are linked to the production processes of the individual plants, the hazardous chemicals data base (MSDS), and applicable waste treatment technologies.

The data include a (hyper)textual description of the waste stream and the originating industrial production process, the basic physical and chemical parameters, production process and main product, link to the plant, list of hazardous chemical in the waste stream, as well as the applicable waste treatment technologies.

A link to scanned documents (PDF, Word or HTML format) provides additional background (e.g., regulatory or health related) information.
